Amarna Luxury Beach Resort

Port Stephens Little Sanctuary

“When my wife informed me that she wanted to go to Armana Resort in Nelson Bay I was curious. A resort….in Port Stephens….I don’t think so! She had been before with a girlfriend and was keen for a family holiday there. Ok….i’ll play along. Well it is a pretty hot place. Perched on the perfect corner of Dutchman’s Beach, Amarna looks down the incredibly picturesque bay and there are times when I did feel like I was in Bellagio at the top of Lake Como in Italy. The apartments themselves are simply stunning. We stayed in a 3 bedder which had the parents retreat upstairs with its own shaded balcony. The floors were marble and the most amazing American oak, the furniture was largely bespoke to fill the large spaces and was classy and restrained. The living area was planned lengthwise to maximise the sea views and massive sliding doors pocket back to reveal the stunning scenery and sea breezes. The apartment had immense attention to detail in terms of lighting, shade, and appointments such as an exhaust system over the outdoor barbie. This was a living space that was incredibly hard to leave.  The pool area outside features a very grand 25m pool with large spa. I have never swum so much in my life and with a small number of apartments the pool is never crowded or noisy. (one apartments has its own pool and spa). Amarna is walking distance from restaurants and cafes of Nelson Bay, Seafood Co-op and Marina, so very conveniently located. there is no restaurant/cafe at the resort. Amarna is a world class, luxurious escape for people who want to chill out in a stunning environment with first class accommodation. So if you are overworked and thinking of Bali or Europe, instead of getting on a mindnumbing international flight, hop on the F1 and take yourself to Port Stephens little sanctuary just 2.5 hours from Sydney CBD.  Thanks to Tracy and Wayne for making our stay so relaxing.” Craig T (Sydney)
